How Fred Daisy was born:
The story behind Fred Daisy is one of passion and dreams fulfilled. Owner Ingrid Te Mete's journey spans over 40 years in the hairdressing realm, primarily serving a cherished clientele from her home. Her vision was always larger than four walls; it was about creating a sanctuary where beauty meets community. The name "Fred Daisy" holds a dear place in Ingrid's heart, a homage to her childhood memories, nicknames her late parents used. With the unwavering support of her family, friends & hairdressing community, Ingrid turned this dream into a reality.

Fred Daisy officially opened on the 4th December 2018. It was a massive job flipping this wee concrete room into a warm inviting salon, and took a village to get it ready. Since then we have been so lucky to have the community welcome us with open arms,. We have laughed, we have cried, we have loved and comforted one another through many hardships and successes, it has truly become a space that goes beyond just hair.
